Sophia is a non-union New York based actress currently training at Long Island University-Brooklyn in collaboration with The New Group. She is studying to receive her BFA in Acting for Television, Film, and Theatre.
Sophia has always been compelled by the art of storytelling. Whether it be on stage or in front of a camera. From directing and starring in her own iMovies shot on her 5MP camera (her ipod touch) in feather boas and her mom's high heels... to forcing her brother to play every other part but hers. She's been hooked.
Sophia has been known for a diverse selection of roles. Creating compelling stories about anyone from the girl next door, to your student body president. While also excelling in all types of physical comedy, creating life forms completely opposite from herself.
Sophia just wrapped her run of Baby Boomers! at The Chain Theater where she originated the role of Joyce. Since attending Long Island University- She has been apart of two short films, "Submit" and "Turn Table" and two capstone performances, Jarred! and the original play All-Inclusive Love. In post production, she has one Independent Feature scheduled to release next year entitled "The RC Races" produced by Abstract Genie Productions. Sophia is currently rehearsing to perform as Nina in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike May 28th-31st at Polaris North.
